Obelisk Awards presented by Business Council for the Arts

Dallas Glass Art is very honored to receive this Obelisk award! Business Council for the Arts Obelisk Awards saluted North Texas’s leading businesses, arts patrons, and artists for their collaboration in making this region the nation’s fifth-largest arts economy. Nancy Nasher and Rick del Monte opened up the presentation with the theme ‘Future Forward’.

This award honors the arts community and its many patrons for their passionate support of arts and culture, growing community outreach, and diverse programming.

Dallas Glass Art received the ‘New Initiatives Award’ and is recognized among many very influential and inspiring leaders including Mary Anne Alhadeff with ‘Art and Seek’, American Airlines, ArtCentre of Plano, Ann, and Charles Eisemann, and PNC Bank.

“I spent a large part of my career traveling and working with glass artists all over the world, and the common theme I observed is how glassblowing can spark excitement and imagination for everyone. At Dallas Glass Art, our mission is to share this creativity, and we are so lucky to have such a supportive community here in DFW. I’d like to thank Pamala Riddle for nominating us this year, and of course Business Council for the Arts for recognizing our efforts. But more than anything, I’d like to thank the community here in this room for sharing your creativity and imagination with us. Thank you again for making this all possible” – Carlyn Ray
